On May 28, Thailand’s government authorized a variety of visa facilitation measures, such as longer stay periods.

According to government spokesman Chai Wacharonke, beginning in June, visitors from 93 countries and territories, up from 57 currently, will be able to enter without a visa for stays of up to 60 days, while the list of those eligible for visa on arrivals will be expanded from 19 to 31.

Thailand had more than 14.32 million inbound tourists last week and is seeking at least 35 million foreign visits in 2024, with tourism receipts of 3.5 trillion THB (approximately 95.62 billion USD), according to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
