Single-Entry

• Validity: Usually valid for entering Thailand within 3 months from the date of issue.
• Duration: Stay for up to 60 days.
• Extension: Travelers can apply for an extension of stay for another 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand, making the total potential duration of stay up to 90 days.

Multiple-Entry

• Validity: Usually valid for entering Thailand in a 6-month period from the date of issue.
• Duration: Each entry stays up to 60 days.
• Extension: Travelers can apply for an extension of stay for another 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand

The Thai Visa Exemption Scheme allows tourists from 64 countries to enter Thailand without applying for a visa for a period of up to 30 days. The exemption is granted at most twice in a calendar year when entering over land or via a sea border but there is no limitation when entering by air.

Visa on Arrival: Tourists from the following countries will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of stay not exceeding 15 days on each visit at any international airport in Thailand.

E-Visa: Tourists from 23 countries are eligible to apply for E-visa

• Local SIM card: Local SIM cards can be easily found at any international airport, 7-Eleven, major shopping mall, or directly at the service provider’s shop. A popular place and easiest place to buy a sim card is through a 7-Eleven store, which is available at every corner.Thailand’s three major cell service providers are AIS, DTAC, and TrueMove H. They offer a variety of prepaid “pay as you go” plans with 3G/4G support for both short-term and long-term visitors, ranging from daily to monthly plans.
• Electrical standards and adapters: For Thailand there are four associated plug types, types A, B, C and O. Thailand operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.

Tipping is not obligatory in Thailand, but it’s appreciated for excellent service. It’s ultimately at the discretion of the customer to decide whether or not to leave a tip.

– Guides: About 100-200 THB for a full-day tour guide.

– Drivers: About 50-100 THB for a driver.

– Restaurants: About 10% of the bill. Some restaurants may include a service charge in the bill.

– Hotel Staff:

• Bellhops and Porters: 20-50 THB per bag
• Housekeeping: A daily tip of 20-50 THB on the pillow with a thank-you note
• Concierge: A tip of 100-200 THB is thoughtful

Haggling is not anticipated or welcome in local mom-and-pop stores. Shopping centers use fixed pricing schemes, while some may offer discounts for multiple purchases. Trying to negotiate in restaurants is not accepted
