Tour Plan

Day 01 HANOI ARRIVAL

Upon arrival to Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide holding a sign with your name on it. After you collect your luggage, will lead the way to your awaiting vehicle. The distance is about 35km far from Hanoi city center and it’s approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour for transfer.

Afternoon, transfer to the city center to visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple located on an islet in the lake. Hoan Kiem Lake is the center point of Hanoi and home to a rare endangered giant turtle species. Its name “Returned Sword” comes from a legend of a sacred sword being lent to an ancient Vietnamese King by a holy turtle from the lake and later returned to the turtle.

Then, you will have a seat at a street corner Cafe shop and drink a cup of Vietnamese coffee, seeing how the local life move on in the bustling city amid the din of constantly blaring horns. Free shopping or walk at leisure in the Old Quarter of 36 ancient streets to understand more about local daily life.

Day 02 HANOI CITY TOUR - TRANSFER TO SAPA

Morning city tour begins with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex and Ba Dinh Square, an important point of pilgrimage for many Vietnamese. The area surrounding the complex is a traffic-free zone filled with botanical gardens, monuments, memorials, and pagodas, and includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside), Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh Museum. Travel back in time to the nearby simple cottage on stilts where Ho Chi Minh lived and worked during his humble beginnings as a revolutionary. Walk a few blocks out of the Ho Chi Minch Complex to the 11th century Buddhist One Pillar Pagoda, an elegant construction rising from the center of a square shaped lotus pond on a solitary pillar. Continue to the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam, built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, sages, and outstanding Vietnamese scholars.

Lunch at local restaurant before transfer to Sapa through the expressway. This Vietnam’s longest expressway opens, cutting Hanoi-Lao Cai travel time in half. The time to Sapa is shortened to 5-6 hours, making your journey faster, safer, and much more comfortable than by train.

Day 03 FULL DAY LAO CHAI - TA VAN - GIANG TA CHAI (WITH LUNCH)

Depart from Sapa town by car to Lao Chai village, following the road down the hill. Views of the Muong Hoa valley and magnificent surroundings of mountains and rice terrace fields can be seen from this road. Along the road, people from many ethnic groups (H’mong, Zay, and Red Dao) are likely to be met, and there are stalls along the way that serve tea, fruits, and sweets. Soon after turning off the main road and taking a local path, we will arrive in the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai, where you will experience the daily life of the villagers. After that, continue by trekking about 4 km to Ta Van village which is clusters of rural houses embraced by the wavy curves of the terraced paddy fields. Villagers here are the Giay ethnic minority people, a small group only inhabiting Northern highlands of Vietnam. Take a break and have a picnic lunch prepared by your local guide in a local house.

After lunch, hike for 3 km over hills and through a bamboo forest. Stop at a waterfall to rest before entering Giang Ta Chai village, home to the Red Dao ethnic minority people. Explore the village and observe villagers in their daily life activities. You will be picked up and return to Sa Pa by car.

Day 04 SAPA - DISCOVER FANSIPAN MOUNTANT - TRANSFER TO HA NOI

Morning, transfer by car to the Cable Car station where you will get on cabin and take a 15-minute ride by cable car. At 6292,5m long, this is the longest non-stop three rope cable car in the world. Continue to climb about 600 steps to reach the summit of Mount Fansipan. Spend time to admire the beautiful natural landscape of Sapa, Hoang Lien Son, Muong Hoa valley and the magnificent Hoang Lien Son mountain range.

After the tour, transfer back to Hanoi on highway road. It takes 05 hours drive. Arrrival Hanoi in evening, check in hotel & free in the rest of day.

Day 05 HANOI - HA LONG OVERNIGHT ON BOAT

Following breakfast leave Hanoi for a 4-hour drive to Ha Long Bay including a 20-minutes stop on the way. Arrive at the jetty in Ha Long City towards noon and proceed with check-in formalities. Be welcomed onboard and have lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay itself. In the afternoon, enjoy some visits and/or activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner is served on board.

Day 06 HA LONG - HANOI - TAKE FLIGHT TO DA NANG - HOI AN

Enjoy the fresh morning in the middle of the bay, the sun rises on Ha Long in the morning and breakfast is served (brunch on some boats) while the vessels cruise slowly through the magnificent rock formations and back towards port. Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi airport in the afternoon for flight to Da Nang, then transfer to Hoi An for-hotel check in. Free in the rest of day

Day 07 HALF DAY HOI AN ANCIENT TOWN & CAM THANH VILLAGE

Meet our guide at your hotel and transfer out for a city tour. Once a bustling maritime commercial port of Asia between 15th and 19th centuries, Hoi An, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, is now a peaceful town of exceptionally well-preserved architecture, lifestyles, and traditions. The town exemplifies a fascinating fusion of cultures between Vietnam and the outside world including China, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines. Your sightseeing will include the iconic 400-year-old Covered Bridge with a small temple attached to one side as a prominent example of Japanese architecture, the Museum of Trade Ceramics which is an elegant Vietnamese style wooden house built in 1858 showcasing antique ceramic artifacts. You will also visit the 200-year-old Tan Ky House typifying an ancient Chinese merchant residence, Ong Temple built in 1653 by Chinese settlers to worship Guan Yu, an ancient Chinese general whose character stands for loyalty, bravery and justice and the local market vibrant with colors and activities.

Afternoon, take a half day excursion to Cam Thanh village by transfering to Bach Dang dock. Board on a local wooden basket boat to Cam Thanh water coconut village to learn about the daily life of Vietnamese fishermen, their families and their community and begin cruising to Cua Dai river where there are thousands of water coconut trees which used to be the habitat of Vietnamese army during the war. Join in local fisherman on the river and experience from learning traditional fishing techniques on round net or cast net. Learn how to paddle the Vietnamese unique bamboo basket boat. Explore the now tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways of a past war and hear of the extreme conditions endured by soldiers of both sides. End of the tour by transferring back to your hotel.

Day 08 HOI AN - DA NANG - TAKE FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH - HALF DAY CITY TOUR

Our driver picks you up at hotel in Hoi An and transfer for Da Nang airport for flight to Sai Gon city. Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, welcome by our guide and transfer to your hotel.

Afternoon, take a half day city tour. First, discover the very popular War Remnants Museum, the one that gathers a comprehensive collection of the machinery, weapons, photographs, and documentation of the Vietnam wars. See displays of old military equipment and other related objects as well as larger exhibits including an F5A fighter and a UH1-Huey helicopter. Next, the century-old Reunification Palace, witness of the historic events of old Saigon and famous for its architectural characteristics. It witnessed the growth of Ho Chi Minh City during peacetime and throughout the Vietnam War until its end in 1975.

Continue visit Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica a neo-Roman cathedral built by the colonial French with materials entirely imported from Marseilles. Discover the magnificent neo-Romanesque architecture as you take in the tranquil atmosphere inside. At the opposite Central Post Office, one of the oldest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, learn about this significant landmark — the busiest post office in Vietnam. Admire the neoclassical-style of the post office interior as your guide points out the painted maps of former Saigon, once the capital of South Vietnam.

Day 09 FULL DAY MEKONG DELTA WITH LUNCH (VINH LONG)

Morning, pickup at your hotel to transfer about 136 km to Vinh Long, a riverside town in the vast Mekong Delta, the world’s largest delta. Take a boat cruise to lively Cai Be floating market where sellers and buyers bargain and exchange goods from their boats. Proceed through a fascinating maze of shady canals to Hoa Binh Phuoc Island. Beautiful landscape of zigzag canals, lush vegetation, peaceful villages, and activities of rural life will make you a delightful sight. There on the island, visit some local farmers’ homes, interact with warm-hearted hosts, and learn about their trades of bonsai gardening, tile and ceramic production and rice paper and coconut candy making. A typical Vietnamese lunch at a local home will be arranged.

Day 10 HO CHI MINH CITY DEPARTURE

Our tour guide will meet and pick you up at your hotel to transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport on air-conditioned vehicle.
